ABOUT ME
"Try to learn something about everything and everything about something"
- Thomas Huxley
When I was a young kid, I was constantly taken to the zoo. Every weekend I would run up to the tiger enclosure and think simple scientific thoughts, but nonetheless they were scientific thoughts. From a young age, I knew that zoology would be the path for me.

I am a masters student based at the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I have a passion for education at the post-secondary level along with curiosity in the connections between form, function, shape, and evolution. Currently, my focus is on my masters thesis; using dental morphometrics to improve our understanding of mammalian evolution.
Outside of research, I have a passion for the outdoors including hiking, backpacking, and camping. I am also a major fan of the local and international drag scene.
MY RESEARCH INTERESTS
"I have not failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that don't work" - Thomas Edison

ECO-EVO-DEVO
Evolution, ecology, and development are each their own unique and strong fields of biological sciences. In recent years, a focus on developmental and functional constraints has started to come about. I am interested in broad evolutionary questions that require an interdisciplinary approach from ecology, evolution, and developmental biology.
